About

Hi, I’m Tara Pereira—marketer, connector, and complete food nerd. For more than 25 years, I’ve been working at the crossroads of storytelling, strategy, and sustenance, helping farms, food businesses, and mission-driven organizations turn good ideas into results that matter.

I’ve spent most of my career immersed in Vermont’s food systems, most notably during my tenure as Executive Director of the Vermont Fresh Network. In that role, I led the state's premier farm-to-table program, strengthening the vital connections between farmers and chefs and championing the agritourism and culinary events that celebrate the people behind what we eat. My background in marketing and communications means I’m as comfortable designing a high-level brand strategy as I am swapping recipes at a farmers market.

Along the way, I’ve produced food-centered media, managed complex collaborative marketing campaigns, and even studied foodways in Sicily (yes, it was as delicious as it sounds). Whether I’m helping a farm tell its story, a food entrepreneur grow their reach, or a regional effort build connection, my goal remains the same: to help good food and the good people behind it flourish, while caring for the working landscape that sustains us all.

When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me baking something flaky with local fruit, traveling with a culinary itinerary, exploring trails with my dog and a camera, or visiting a farmers market to see what’s in season.
